Update on the Inquiry's Waverley Gate Hearings VenueThe Scottish Government, as tenants of the premises, has informed the Inquiry that “It has now been confirmed that the lease agreement has been finalised and the required retrospective building warrant is now in effect. The hearing suite therefore fully complies with the appropriate building regulations, which set the necessary safety standards.” Based on this update the Inquiry intends to hold full, in-person hearings as planned in September at the hearing suite in Waverley Gate. The Inquiry’s September hearings begin on Tuesday 8th September and will run for four weeks until Friday 2nd October. The witness timetable has been published and registration for seats in the public gallery is now open. |
Anyone who wishes to request a seat in the public gallery during hearings must register to attend.
Registration has opened for the Inquiry's Section 1 hearings.
Only members of the public allocated a seat by the Inquiry will be able to attend. Seats will be confirmed two weeks in advance for each week.
Registration for hearings in Weeks One and Two has now closed.
The deadline to request to attend Week Three is Tuesday 1st September.
The deadline to request to attend Week Four is Tuesday 8th September.
