Update on the Inquiry's Waverley Gate Hearings Venue

The Scottish Government, as tenants of the premises, has informed the Inquiry that “It has now been confirmed that the lease agreement has been finalised and the required retrospective building warrant is now in effect. The hearing suite therefore fully complies with the appropriate building regulations, which set the necessary safety standards.”

Based on this update the Inquiry intends to hold full, in-person hearings as planned in September at the hearing suite in Waverley Gate. 

The Inquiry’s September hearings begin on Tuesday 8th September and will run for four weeks until Friday 2nd October. 

The witness timetable has been published and registration for seats in the public gallery for weeks one, two and three are now open on the Inquiry website.
